Can I request a specific car model?

At time of booking you may request your preference. A particular car model cannot be guaranteed, as we are unable to predict availability of a specific model on a given day. If your specific car preference is not available, you will receive a comparable vehicle from the same car class you reserved.

Where is the Simple4car counter located?

Simple4car is independent, not an agent for any particular car rental company. The name and address of the car rental company is provided at the top of the voucher along with the location information for the supplier.

Why do I have to give flight numbers?

It is extremely important that you provide us with your flight number if you are collecting your vehicle from an airport. In the event that your flight is delayed our car rental partner will wait for you to arrive, although this may incur an out of hours charge payable locally.

What does it mean when my car is “On Request“?

The On Request status requires us to contact the local car rental suppliers in order to confirm availability of your choice of car. During the booking stage of the online process, all On Request cars will be highlighted.
In this case we will contact you within 48 hours to advise if this vehicle is available.

What is a Voucher?

The Car Rental Voucher is a document which the supplier of your rental vehicle requires as proof of prepaid. It is imperative that this is taken with you!

What do I need to pick-up my car?

The Rental voucher Simple4car (Simple4car cannot be held responsible for rentals rejected if a voucher is not presented)
- Driving licence
- Passport
- Valid Credit Card

Why do I need a credit card?

Clients need to be in possession of a valid credit card to collect the vehicle. This MUST be in the name of the main driver and CANNOT be a pre-paid credit card or a debit card and must have sufficient funds available. This enables the supplier to authorise a security deposit, which covers any parking or speeding fines, un-insured parts of the vehicle, fuel charges if applicable, and in the unlikely event that a claim is made when the insurance has been invalidated.

Will there be any additional charges?

Additional charges may be applied when collecting the vehicle for optional extras such as child seats, booster seats, winter equipment, delivery to accommodation, out-of-hours collection/return, border exits and one-way rental surcharges. Any additional charges are paid directly to the supplier when collecting the vehicle and are clearly stated at the time of booking.

Will I be charged extra if I drop the car off at a different location?

It is common for car rental suppliers to apply an additional charge for one-way rentals, although some suppliers offer one-way rentals with no additional charge when the rental duration is over a certain amount of days.
